Here's a fascinating story:

The thousands of luminous glass beads in each bracelet are handmade in the Czech Republic town of Jablonec nad Nisou where they have been created by generations of bead masters since the 16th century. Then they are sent to the highlands of Guatemala where talented artisans memorize complex patterns and create these masterpieces - - each one unique and dazzling. All produced in a fair trade environment to aid the crafts people and their communities. You will LOVE this bracelet - - and its history. Each approximately 7" long, with an easy to fasten as a bracelet cuff.

Our Guatemalan hand-beaded items are fairly traded and help to support the families who make them.
They are made in a women's cooperative in Guatemala. Imported Czech glass beads and real gemstones are the hallmark of quality with these beautiful and affordable jewelry items.

Story Behind the Art:

Our glass bead jewelry and handbags are hand woven by over 150 Mayan artisans in the highlands of Guatemala. Our commitment to the principles of Fair Trade create avenues of employment for economically disadvantaged artisans in these regions.
